Fortune Cookie Soaps Review

Alright I finally managed to get my first order in for fortune cookie soaps and I am not disappointed. I love, seriously LOVE, small family shops like this. I had heard nothing but good things about this company. The first thing I have to say is that the shipping was incredibly fast! I got this in 3 days, which was crazy. With processing time and all, I thought that it would take longer, but I was wrong. Not expecting this to arrive for at least week,  I was shocked to find it on my doorstep this morning. I ordered a lot of little things so this review is going to be broken up into two posts since I haven't used all of the products yet and it's pretty hard to review something before using it.

Hydrate Me- Tiny Tribute
This is a hunger games inspired scent for Prim. Not too sure why I picked this one but it just called to me.
It arrived melted, but I am in Florida and it is spring so I'm not too stunned. The website does have a warning about it melting in higher temps. Anyways this is a hydrating bar! Because of it's molten delivery, I haven't been able to use it as a bar yet. The site suggests to freeze it to get it into bar form again.  I honestly prefer scooping a little out of the tub it came in and rubbing it on to my body. For five minutes or so, it is a bit oily, but soaks in eventually. Essentially I've been using it like a lotion thus far, so I threw it in the freezer today to see how I like it in its intended bar form. As a lotion, I love this! Even after one use, you notice a suppleness to your skin. The real downfall of this application, is that I feel like I'm using way more than I should. I think that I'll use less and it won't be so greasy when I use it the way it was intended to be used haha. But either way I do love this.
The scent to be frank, reminds me of Downy detergent. While the actual scent is "jasmine, some rose, some lily of the valley and some fruit notes too!" I just smell detergent. I'm not sure if I love or hate this aspect of it, I mean, I am using it...But I do feel like I'll try another scent. I do like the product so much that if I don't find another scent in a "Hydrate Me" bar that I like I'll continue to grab this one.

Shower Oil- Eat Me

This smells like pineapple upside down cake OMG
Okay now that I have that out of my system. This is incredibly scented and moisturizing. What I do is spray this on after my shower and then put some of my Hydrate Me bar on my rough patches. This leaves me so soft and the scent lingers for hours....tho it does make me hungry. NOM NOM NOM

Fortune Cookie Soap- In The Loop
Okay so I TOTALLY use this as a body soap even though its a hand soap, is that terrible? I don't know it just smells so good and I didn't get the full body bar, haha. It smells exactly like fruit loops, it's so spot on it hurts. I don't know about how it "hydrates" my body as a body soap since I use my shower oils and such after but it does make me smell like breakfast.

Fortune Cookie Soap- Unicorn Farts
I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS SMELLS LIKE. They don't have any hints on the website and to me it smells of old lady perfume?! Maybe I have to use it to smell it properly...I haven't used it yet because the odor is a bit offensive.
Out of everything I purchased this was the only product I wasn't wild about and I don't think I'll like. I bought it only because of the name, UNICORN FARTS, who could resist? Though it is really cute...

They just released a new mothers day collection today and it hurts...I want to make a new order now...

Also whoops I posted this prematurely and unfinished hopefully no one caught that....
Part 2 will be up within the week.
XOXO

Makeup Geek eyeshadow reviews

Okay so recently I placed a order on the Makeup Geek website. It has been awhile since I've ordered and go figure that I have never had a MUG eyeshadow before this! I have brushes and lip products from the line itself and nothing else! So I had a bit of a haul of around 30 eyeshadows.

What I'm going to do is break down every color I currently have in my collection and give you my opinions on them. Eyeshadows aren't always the same, as anyone with a palette knows one may be more creamy, more pigmented, chalky, has a ton of fallout, etc. This is why I chose to do every color individually along with swatches and a eye look. I'll be updating this series hopefully a few times a week. I do have surgery this upcoming Wednesday so if I'm slow to update the first two weeks of this series, that will be why.

Mini Review: Nautical By Nature. Icing Palette Review

Flash
No flash

This set comes with some really gorgeous blues, especially the second and third blue from the left and the second to last one. My favorite brown is the third one, its a really pretty copper tone and the second to last brown which is a nice reddish brown.
This set has some mattes and shimmers. The shimmers though are VERY shimmery/metallic, I made the mistake of using two of the shimmery blues and ended up doing what looked like a 80s hooker look.

Pros:
The palette is pretty pigmented except for one or two colors but even those are buildable.

The palette is 12.50, so it's really affordable. Often Icing has sales for b1g1 50% which was the case when I bought this though instead of another palette I got their "expert kabuki" which is super soft.

Cons:
Some of the colors apply a bit splotchy(The dark blue and dark brown)

Lasting power? On the lighter brown shades it was so bad by the time i was done with my eyes I had to retouch my lids because it had already faded away(without primer, with primer it's perfect)

The film that covers the palette when you first open it has the names of each eyeshadow but it's easily lost or tossed away so if you like to know the names of your shadows it's a bit annoying.

Would I buy this again: Yes, I'm thinking about grabbing some of their other expert palettes.

Currently this product is $12.50 with b1g1 50% and 20% off anything in your cart(the latter is online only)
